Poise + Performance | Deaneth Edwards

As an athlete who still loves to compete in competitive running, I absolutely love to follow other inspirational track athletes who dedicate their time and energy to keep competing at a high level. Many don't know the sacrifice that it takes to compete as it's a step harder than "maintaining fitness", particularly in sprinting when you constantly challenge your body to perform at near 100%. So I'm delighted to feature my friend, Masters Track Athlete, Deaneth Edwards of Jamaica and NYC! She is both one of the hardest working Trainers in the city and an inspiring sprinter! ~ ionfounderad

What is your approach to Recovery?

I honestly used ION rub and the soak to help me to recover. I used the rub like lotion especially for my thighs and legs.

The pre workout rub is my favorite. I never leave my house without it. Doesn't matter how tired and aore i am the rub helped me to get through my workout.

The soak I use over our twice per week after an intense track and weight training workout.

Can you share a few word of advice for other athletes who are working hard to persevere?

Never give up when things and time gets hard. You must have the mindset to push and persevere when you feel like you can do no more.
